AK Advantures
AK Advantures

This van will allow you to see Alaska’s mountains, wildlife, waters, and wilderness without the costs of a hotel. It comfortably sleeps 2, but if you want we can throw in a tent so you can accommodate 4 (2 sleeping in van and 2 in a tent).
We have lived on the Kenai Peninsula for more than 10 years and have a good idea of the different activities and adventures available here. We would be happy to help you create the perfect itinerary or give fishing knowledge to help you catch world-class salmon in the Kenai River (located 5 minutes from the van location).
Included in rental:
-Bedding - clean sheets, comforter, and 2 pillows with cases
-Campstove with one canister of fuel
-Water jug for filling on the go
-Outdoor shower (we don’t have a setup for privacy so it’s use is up to your creativity)
-camping chairs
-bear spray for hiking
-ground coffee, mugs, and French press
The van is located in the central part of the Kenai Peninsula, which is minutes from the Kenai River. In July, this area is packed with tourists because of the Kenai River sockeye salmon run. There is a Wednesday market in Soldotna that runs all summer with artesian crafts for sale, food trucks, and live music in a picturesque park right on the Kenai River.
We recommend seeing Homer (halibut fishing capital) ~ 2 hours away. This town is very touristy and provides great dining, boating, fishing, and a beautiful 4.5 mile long spit with a walking path. There is camping right on the spit, and you could easily set up a base camp within walking distance of beautiful boardwalks, coffee shops, and restaurants loaded with fresh seafood.
Seward is another touristy destination about 2 hours away. You can visit the Alaska Sea Life Center to view many species of Alaska’s sealife. You may also see a sea otter pop it’s head out while you stand by your campsite right along the sea.
This van is our family vehicle during the winter months so we appreciate you caring for it by not smoking in it or allowing pets inside. Please care for it as if it were your family vehicle. This is not an off-road vehicle and we kindly ask that you stay on main roads and don’t attempt to drive on beaches or unmaintained or 4x4 roads.

Awesome set up with everything one would need, plenty of storage and surprisingly comfortable bed. It was a pleasure hiring from April and Isaac who were both very helpful and had great communication.
