Getting Outdoors

When you rent an RV at the park, will give you the chance to enjoy all the recreational activities it makes available. There are several miles of hiking trails that meander throughout the park. One of these is entirely paved and wheelchair accessible. These trails snake through the nearby woodland and along the waterways, offering swimming or fishing opportunities along their banks.

One of the prime activities enjoyed at the park is the water sports offers by the nearby river and coves that branch off of it. These make for quiet places to seek out the various species of fish that frequent these waters, or to peacefully enjoy paddle sports. Or, if you're more adventurous, take the canoe or kayak into the main river and enjoy the sites and animal sounds you will find along its banks.

Other opportunities found at this location include pavilions, both large and small, where families, small groups, or individuals can enjoy a peaceful, picnic lunch. Activities are also held here throughout the warm months, such as Junior Ranger Camp, or other, ranger-guided events. This area offers a lot of history, as well, as it was once prime hunting grounds for the American Indian tribes that once frequented this area.

Camping at Bledsoe Creek State Park

This park makes camping with an RV easy. Multiple campsites are available throughout the park, and staying on-site will give you the easiest access to the various activities that can be found here.

The campground is open year-round and offers sites that are wheelchair accessible, many of which also have full-hookups for your RV. There are also several waterfront sites that are more primitive. All the sites in the main portion of the campground are the same size. They can accommodate RV's up to 65 feet long and a width of 25 feet. Each of the sites also provides fire rings and picnic tables. For those lodging at primitive sites or those without hookups, bathhouses are available nearby as well.

Potable water, as well as laundry facilities, are available throughout the year. The bathhouses provide flush toilets and showers. Most of the sites are shaded and allow for the use of hammocks if this is desired. Leashed pets are welcome. Due to invasive insects, the park requests visitors only buy firewood from the park or park-approved vendors.
