Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort

RV rentals in Davidson County are your best bet for finding the rig that perfectly suits your vacation needs. Now that you have it, you just need to choose a destination. Couchville Cedar Glade State Natural Area is home to many rare and endangered plants as well as small patches of woodland and seasonal wet areas. It's an ideal place for nature observation with a variety of oak tree species and underlying limestone formations that take on the appearance of rock gardens when the area is damp. There are trails where you can hike, and dogs are allowed provided they're on a leash, but activities are restricted to just hiking. The area is open to the public from early morning to around sunset; park your campervan rental at the area's entrance, and you can return to a hot beverage and a comfortable chair when you're done. Radnor Lake State Park is a year-round outdoor recreational area that is open to the public during daylight hours. It has a visitors center where you can ask questions and gather information before heading into the park; the center offers programs conducted by rangers on park snakes and birds of prey, among other topics. The rangers also occasionally lead guided hikes into the park for wildflower and nighttime astronomy observation and even canoe trips. There are many miles of trails for you to use, but only one of them allows pets, bicycles, and joggers; another trail is accessible to ADA all-terrain wheelchairs. The other trails are designated for hiking only but will provide you the chance to observe and/or photograph the owls, herons, and waterfowl that inhabit the park along with amphibians, mammals, and reptiles. Cedars of Lebanon State Park is a combination of cedar tree groves and limestone glades that have pockets of earth located in cracks and potholes; the scattered soils, scarce water, and extreme heat variations through the year create an almost desert-like ecosystem. There are more than a dozen varieties of plants growing here that are rare, endangered, and can't be found anywhere else in the world. There are trails that you can hike on while observing and enjoying the varieties of plant and animal life such as fox and deer, and you can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the picnic shelters. The shelters have tables and grills; some of them can be reserved while the rest are first-come, first-serve.
