Big Bend Ranch State Park is located close to Big Bend National Park, bordering Mexico. The park's almost 300 miles of trails can be used for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. You can also explore the park by paddling or driving. This is another excellent location for stargazing. Other activities in the park include bird watching, nature observing, hunting, and fishing. Davis Mountains State Park is located about an hour's drive northwest of Marathon Motel and RV Park. This beautiful park features unique scenery and offers many outdoor recreational opportunities, including horseback riding, hiking, biking, and more. It's a popular bird-watching destination in the area, with over 300 species of birds to observe. Of all the trails in the park, the most exciting one is the four-mile-long Skyline Drive Trail, running up and down mountain ridges and valleys.
