Discover Boyer Lake RV rentals for memorable road trips

Boyer Lake is located in northeastern Utah, east of Salt Lake City, and near the towns of Coalville and Evanston, WY. This man-made reservoir lies north of the Unita-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, and the Unita Mountains was created for irrigation purposes through the mountainous regions of Utah. Its picturesque location and close locality to many Utah and Wyoming towns have made it the perfect place to take an RV rental. Access to the lake with a rental RV is made even easier with Highway 150, joining a mountain road to the lake. Many campgrounds can also be found in this relatively isolated area, making camping with an RV here a simple task.

Getting Outdoors

Those keen anglers among you who are constantly on the lookout for that next great fishing location should look no further than Boyer Lake. The lake is home to a wide range of fish species, each with its own unique sporting characteristics. The lake is best known for its fly fishing opportunities and catching brook, rainbow, and cutthroat trout. There are also abundant numbers of large and smallmouth bass, pike, walleye, and yellow perch. Whether Boyer Lake Campers fish from the extensive shoreline or a boat out on the water, with such fertile waters and variety of species, fishermen and women are sure to find success here.

Camping at Boyer Lake

Those RV camping at Boyer Lake will have limited options when it comes to camping directly alongside the Boyer Lake itself. This being said, there are many campgrounds within a short drive of the lake. ‘Echo Resort’ is an ideal place to set up camp, and is only a short drive west of Boyer Lake. Partial hookups are provided here, including 20, 30 amp electric and water hookups. Facilities include an on-site general store, restaurant, flushing toilets, and an RV storage unit. Pets are more than welcome at the Echo Resort but must be kept on a leash at all times.

Exploring the Area

The nearby small town of Coalville is home to a few charming day trip opportunities, all within a small drive of Boyer Lake. The ‘Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum’ is one place you must visit when in the Summit County area. This museum offers visitors the chance to learn and educate themselves on the history of the state of Utah, its people, and their achievements. The museum is home to a wide range of historical artifacts and displays these in ever-changing exhibits. This is a must-see for anyone with an interest in local history.

I recently rented a camper trailer for a much-needed escape—and WOW, what an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was smooth, stress-free, and seriously amazing.
First off, Holly, the host, was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident before hitting the road. Super friendly, incredibly organized, and just an all-around lovely person to deal with. She walked me through every detail of the trailer, answered all my questions with patience, and even shared great tips for making the most of the trip.
The trailer itself was immaculate, modern, and thoughtfully stocked. It came with everything I needed—super comfy sleeping space, a well-equipped kitchenette, a clean bathroom, and fun extras like classic board games and a collection of Disney movie favorites that made cozy nights in even better. You can tell Holly puts care into every detail to make sure guests feel at home.
I took the RV to Bear Lake through 89 and its scenic route, and it was such a perfect mix of freedom and comfort. Whether watching a movie after a long day of exploring and playing in the water or playing games, it was the kind of trip that leaves you recharged and smiling.
If you're considering renting a camper trailer, don’t hesitate—go with Holly’s! She made the whole experience easy, relaxing, and truly memorable. I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!
