Granite Flat Campground is just a mile north of the reservoir, and although it is primitive in its facilities, it offers campers a restful spot for the weekend. Tucked away into the trees, visitors can enjoy prime access to some of the area’s best day hikes, as well as restrooms with flushing toilets, potable water, and fire rings at every site. Salamander Flat Campground and Timponeke Campground can be found just south of the reservoir and provide similar amenities at the foot of Mount Timpanogos.
