Getting Outdoors

Avid golfers from across the country visit Wasatch Mountain State Park and its pristine golf courses. Motorhome camping at the park ensures you're right on time for your early morning tee off. Many golfers claim the Lake Course is a bit easier than the other courses. However, it does have several short par-five holes that require more accurate tee shots to keep clear of the trees along the fairway. The Mountain Course was previously voted the best place to play. Visitors can relax at the Wasatch Mountain Clubhouse or shop at the pro shop.

Camping at Wasatch Mountain State Park

Wasatch Mountain State Park campers have more than 110 sites spread across three loops to choose from. About half of the sites at Wasatch Mountain come equipped with full hookups, but you'll need to reserve early to ensure you get one of those spots. The remaining sites feature water and electric. Modern restrooms and hot showers are available for campers to enjoy. The park doesn't allow camping during the winter months.

Exploring the Area

When visiting Wasatch Mountain State Park during the winter, drop into Midway to see a true Ice Castle complete with resident princesses. The ice castles are formed each year in several cities across North America. Midway hosts a breathtaking ice castle that weighs around 25 million pounds and is open to tours and hosts events. Dress accordingly; it's as cold inside the castle as it is outside. There are LED-lit sculptures, ice-carved tunnels, and slides. Frozen thrones can even be found inside the castle.
