Newport News Park Campground is in Newport News, VA, which is on the far eastern side of the state. The campground sits on the Virginia Peninsula, which is surrounded on three sides by water. A home that was here during the Civil War, and was used as a hospital during that time, has been restored and is available for touring, as are the rest of the plantation grounds.
