The Great Outdoors

With Mount Baker National Park less than two hours away, you can enjoy both sweeping mountain vistas and a glorious sunset on the beach on the same day. Mount Baker is a much sought after ski destination with some of the highest snowfall averages in the US. When it's not ski season, there is still plenty to do and see on the mountain.

As you drive towards Mount Baker National Park, you will be graced with views of crisp glacial mountain streams and majestic old growth forest. There are pull-off areas along the way to stretch your legs and take in the scenery. As you head closer to the top, you will pass the treeline allowing you to see a breathtaking view of the north cascade mountain range. If you're lucky, you might spy a mountain goat or marmot.

If you plan to rent an RV in Blaine in the spring, you may want to head south to see the Skagit Valley tulip fields near Mount Vernon. Meander through acres of tulip farms while marveling at the rainbow of colors stretching out in all directions. Don't forget to take some pictures!

Another fantastic view you won't want to miss is Chuckanut Drive just south of Bellingham. This scenic byway overlooks Samish Bay and offers jaw-dropping views of the San Juan Islands. Larrabee State Park is located right off Chuckanut drive and is the perfect pull off spot to play by the water, marvel at the sandstone cliffs or have a nice family picnic.

RV Parks

There are a number of RV parks that are perfect to park your Blaine camper rental. For a more secluded camping experience, Birch Bay State Park is a quiet campground nestled in the woods with easy access to the beach. This campground is an explorers delight. Head to the beach at low tide to discover a wide diversity of marine critters. Harvest your own clams and shellfish to bake or steam back at the campfire. Just bring the proper license, a shovel, pail and mud boots!

Exploring The City
