RecommendationsWe especially love Eklutna Lake campground (north of Anchorage), Kesugi Ken Campground - Reserve early! (Trapper Creek, AK), Captain Cook Recreation Area campground (Nikiski, AK), Forest Acres Campground (Seward), Russian River Campground -Reserve early! (Cooper Landing, AK), Black Bear Campground (Portage area), Whiskey Point Cabins & RV Park (Anchor Point, AK), Lake Lucille campground (toward Glenallen), South Rolly Lake campground (Willow), Riley Creek Campground (Denali National Park).Other things to note** The RV has a 7-pin connector for the lights (to connect to the tow vehicle). We do not have an adapter. Ensure that your tow vehicle is equipped to accept a 7-pin connector - otherwise you will NOT be allowed to take possession of the RV.
** We do not provide a trailer break controller for your tow vehicle. Most late model trucks come with this, but it is your responsibility to know if your tow vehicle has this and to provide it if you desire it.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Due to owner work schedule, Monday through Friday pickup and dropoff times are at 5:30pm. There is more flexibility on Saturday/Sunday if needed.

Q.Quirky heater pointers.
A.
The heater runs off propane, but uses electricity to blow the fan for it. Pointer #1: BEFORE turning on the heater for the first time, light one of the stove burners to "bleed" the propane line of air. Failure to do this will cause the heater to "air lock" and not work. Pointer #2: The heater fan will drain the battery overnight if running constantly. For this reason (if not connected to shoreline power), it is wise to set the heater at a level where it will only run intermittently.

Q.Why does it take so long to light the stove?
A.
The first use of the stove will take a little while to get the burner's pilot lit. This is because the propane line (from the propane tank which is 22 feet away from the stove) must be "bled" of air. To do this you just keep the burner set at "Light" and continually hold a lighter flame to the burner so that when the line is bled, the burner will light.
