Our converted Ford Transit has everything you need for a relaxing, stress free camping or road trip experience. With a plush king sized memory foam mattress, you won't have to compromise comfort after a day of adventuring. Two large solar panels charge a battery bank with enough electricity to keep your phones charged, power multiple laptops, and anything else you'd need. The above bed skylight opens up completely - so coupled with the the roof fan, creates a fantastic cross breeze throughout the entire space. The kitchen area includes a fridge with plenty of room for more than a few days worth of food and an induction burner to cook meals whenever you like. The faucet (operated by an electric water pump) is hooked up to a 6 gallon fresh water tank that's easy to refill if needed. We have recently added a 3rd seat to allow 3 people to travel safely. Perfect for taking a child, and the king sized mattress can accommodate all of you! Additionally, there is plenty of under bed storage for gear and luggage, as well as a modest camping toilet for boondocking.

What's included

Sheets & 2 pillows, a blanket (depending on the season), 2 towels, plates, bowls, utensils, bottle opener, camping toilet, Little Buddy propane heater.

Other things to note

We completed building our van about 4 years ago and have loved it! We've used it mainly for weekend getaways, but LOVED Niagara Falls in the Winter, Spring Training in Florida, and overnights at a couple vineyards.

We loved our van trip!! Doug’s van was perfect for our Outer Banks adventure. The simplicity of the systems (water pump and gray water, solar panels re-charged the battery each day which was awesome!), slept like a baby and drove great! The Max Fan kept us cool even at the beach in June! The bed is super comfy and Doug has provided everything you could need. We were so glad to have our pups with us and the van was easy to keep neat. We wanted to explore the idea of having a van and this left us wanting more!! We recommend it whole heartedly!

What a wonderful van experience. Communication and flexibility were spot on with Doug. The van has been fitted out to be very comfortable and offers great ease of use. The solar power was amazing, and the efficient kitchen set up allowed me purchase fresh fish each day for dinner/lunch/breakfast. Hands down - Doug’s van is the way to explore the barrier islands and beyond.

The van was awesome. It was easy to navigate and had everything we needed. We would definitely rent this again

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.Does your van have a/c when it's parked? No? How on EARTH do you stay cool?
A.
Thanks for asking! I'll preface this by saying I am a typical male when it comes to sleeping - I like it COLD. I, too, was worried about this, but I've been in Florida in the Summertime and slept great. The key is the overhead boat hatch above the bed and the roof fan. Simply crack the boat hatch and turn the fan on exhaust (air blowing out). This will pull air in from outside, over your head and out the fan, creating a wonderful cross breeze.

Q.Does your van have heat when it's parked? No? How on EARTH do you stay warm?
A.
We have a little propane heater that does a fantastic job heating the van. My wife and I have been to Niagara Falls in the Wintertime, and while I can't say we were toasty all night long, we were warm most of the night - it's glamping after all! We include a couple propane canisters that will last ≈5hrs, and additional ones can be purchased easily (Walmart, Target, any camping store) for $3 each. And a really good sleeping bag helps too!
