Hoeft's Resort & Campground

When you are getting ready to book an RV in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, you’ll also need a place to call your temporary home, and you may very much enjoy Hoeft’s Resort & Campground in Cascade. The campground features a lake with a beach and water slide, sports and recreation fields, a recreation hall, restrooms and showers, and laundry facilities. Boats, canoes, and paddleboats are available for rent. The camp store offers fishing bait and firewood as well as apparel, gifts, souvenirs, and books. There is also a concession stand and a bar. Special events are held throughout the year, including a kids’ 4th of July Parade, an annual rummage sale, and horseshoe tournaments.There are 55 RV sites available for rent at Hoeft's Resort & Campground. Some are lakeside, and some are on the peninsula. Water and electric hookups are available, and leashed pets are also welcome (two pets per site).

The Great Outdoors

You’ll have easy access to the Nichols Creek State Wildlife Area near Plymouth when you are camping at Hoeft’s Resort & Campground near here. This state Department of Natural Resources property has been designated a Wetland Gem and an Outstanding Resource Water. It is home to brook and brown trout, white-tailed deer, turkeys and woodcocks, cottontail rabbits, gray squirrels, ring-necked pheasants, sandhill cranes, and field sparrows. You’ll also enjoy native trees, plants, and wildflowers. Recreational opportunities include fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, gathering wild edibles, bird watching, and wildlife viewing.Also, take the opportunity to explore the Kettle Moraine State Forest (Northern Unit) when you are motorhome camping in the area. The forest covers approximately 30,000 acres and is managed to optimize recreation, sustainable forest products, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, and aesthetics. It is part of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve. Outdoor recreational opportunities include hiking, biking, boating, fishing, hunting and trapping, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Picnic areas provide shelter, tables, electricity, water, and restrooms. The visitor center features naturalist programming, exhibits, activity booklets, and a gift shop with books, clothing, and souvenirs. Rowboats, canoes, funyaks, and paddleboats are available for rent, and personal flotation devices are included. Food and beverage concessions are available in season.Enjoy the great outdoors as well as a great sense of community at Long Lake Recreation Area when you camp in an RV near Cascade. The lake is 423 acres with a maximum depth of 47 feet. The recreation area is home to Dundee Mountain and Summit Trail as well. The lake offers two beaches and a boat ramp area. The water is moderately clear. Fishing for largemouth bass, panfish, northern pike, and walleye is encouraged. Other recreational activities include hiking, biking, boating, trails, and picnicking. Boats may be available for rent.

Exploring the Area

Children of all ages, as well as people who used to be children, will appreciate the chance to check out Bookworm Gardens in Sheboygan when RV camping at Hoeft’s Resort & Campground. This historical botanic garden is inspired by favorite works of children’s literature. It features classes, workshops, exhibits, galleries, and performances in genres, including art, music, and dance. You’ll want to bring art home with you and you can; the sophisticated gift shop is a destination in itself and offers framed and unframed paintings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, glass, sculptures, fiber art, woodworking, mixed media pieces, books, postcards and greeting cards, merchandise and memorabilia, and much more.There are a concession stand and bar for you to enjoy when you are travel trailer camping at Hoeft’s Resort & Campground. If you choose to head into town for further refreshment, you’ll be able to treat yourself to home cooking and comfort food, barbecue and burgers, ethnic eateries, and family-friendly fare. You’ll likely need to refill your tank as well as your tummy, and there are plenty of service stations, truck stops, and convenience stores where you can find either gasoline or diesel fuel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
