The Outdoorsy service fee is non-refundable, except in the event of an owner cancellation or cancellation within the grace period.
If a booking is less than two weeks away, it will be charged in full. If a booking is greater than two weeks away, a 48-hour grace period is granted for renter cancellations. If cancelled during this grace period, a full refund—including all fees—will be issued and the owner won’t receive payment.
All cancellations must be submitted via the Outdoorsy booking dashboard or by contacting Outdoorsy directly. Any attempt to cancel a trip without involving Outdoorsy won’t be treated as a cancellation.
The security deposit will be refunded in full if the booking is cancelled prior to pickup. Otherwise, the security deposit policy will remain in effect.
If the owner cancels the booking before the pickup date, a full refund will be issued to the renter, including the service fee.
If the owner needs to cancel the booking after the rental has already been picked up, the owner must contact Outdoorsy so we may address the situation and come to a reasonable solution for all parties involved.
If either party feels there are unique or extenuating circumstances, Outdoorsy must be notified within 24 hours of cancellation.
At its discretion, Outdoorsy may refund a different amount than is stated in the selected cancellation policy. Outdoorsy will mediate if necessary and has final say in all disputes.
