Kalbus' Country Harbor Campground

Whether you’re an angler, a paddler, or just a beach bum, travel in central Wisconsin is all about enjoying the state’s lakes. One of its most popular is Lake Winnebago, just outside the city of Oshkosh. Covering almost 300 square miles, it’s one of Wisconsin’s largest lakes, and its shoreline is a camper’s paradise. One of the best places to go camping with an RV is Kalbus’ Country Harbor Campground on Lake Winnebago’s western shore.

Campsites at Kalbus’ Country Harbor Campground are available with water and electrical hookups, and some have sewer connections, too. WiFi, bathrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities are also on-site. However, Kalbus’ Country Harbor Campground’s greatest asset is its location; it’s one of the few waterfront campgrounds on Lake Winnebago. All of the campsites at Kalbus' Country Harbor, even those not directly on the water, have a lake view. You need only walk a few minutes to go for a swim, cast a line, or get in your boat to paddle or motor around. If you’ve brought a boat along for this RV rental adventure (or rented one nearby), there’s a human-made channel extending from the campsites to Lake Winnebago, making access even more convenient. The sheltered channel has a sandy bottom that makes docking simpler and protects the hull of your boat.

Kalbus’ Country Harbor Campground’s location is also well-suited for RV travelers wanting to further explore central Wisconsin. Interstate 41 runs near the campground and can take you to Fond du Lac (on the southern tip of Lake Winnebago) in thirty minutes or Milwaukee in about an hour and a half.
