Once you're settled in and ready to begin exploring with your camper rental near Inlet, start by heading to the Moose River Plains Complex. This nature preserve features varied landscapes, from low lying river valleys to several mountain summits and everything in between. It has dozens of lakes and ponds, numerous streams and rivers (some of which have been designated scenic rivers), and a plains wild forest. The park has a long list of trails that vary in length from less than a mile to several miles (one of the trails runs from Northville through the Adirondack Mountains to Lake Placid and is more than 100 miles long). Fishing, kayaking, and mountain biking can be enjoyed, and in the winter, you can go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. An Old Forge camper rental is a perfect addition to your vacation, offering a warm destination for finishing your winter activities (or a comfortable respite from the summer heat). Sargent Pond Wild Forest is a popular destination for both summer and winter outdoor activities and has several campgrounds that are open to the public. The area consists of small rolling hills dotted with lakes and rivers; many of the lakes have islands within them, and there are bicycle paths along several of the state routes that lead you through the park. Sargent Pond has some historic fire towers; one of them, Owl's Head Mountain, has epic views of the surrounding terrain.
