Oxford, AL is the rare town that is actually in two different counties. It lies in Calhoun and Talladega counties. Located in eastern Alabama, it has the hot summers and mild winters that are typical of Alabama. Daytime high temperatures in the summer can reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. There are not too many winter lows below freezing. The geography is wooded and hilly, and there are several bodies of water within a short drive.
