Getting Outdoors

One of the main draws of RV camping at Daisy State Park is the opportunity to get out onto Lake Greeson. The lake covers over two hundred square miles and is notable for the rich and diverse fish that live in its waters. For keen anglers, the lake offers the chance to catch striped bass, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. The heaviest striped bass to be caught on Lake Greeson weighed an impressive 39 pounds, and many over 25 pounds are caught yearly.

Boating on Lake Greeson is also a great way to spend your time outdoors in Daisy State Park. For those without their own boat, Self Creek Marina is the perfect place for a boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals. Kayaking along these waters offers the chance to follow the rich green shorelines of Lake Greeson. This area is often the best place to see the park's rich wildlife as Bobwhite quail, and whitetail deer wander in the grasslands close to the lake's edge

Daisy State Park also includes miles of trails and tracks perfect for hiking and ATV’s. Bear Creek Trail follows the shoreline of Lake Greeson, offering panoramic views of the lake and the Ouachita mountain range. Passing through forests of pine and oak this extensive trail takes you through the best woodland Arkansas has to offer. Much of the trail is marked with yellow over blue, making navigation of the route easier for hikers and riders.

Camping at Daisy State Park

With over a hundred campsites, camping with an RV rental has never been easier in Daisy State Park. Campsites are divided into Class A and Class B. Class A campsites provide water and electric, and catering for 50 amp hookups. Class B also provides similar hookups, but with 30 amps. This pet-friendly campground has big-rig access as well as pull-thru sites.

Camping at Daisy State Park comes with all the modern amenities you could wish for. Flushing toilets and shower blocks are provided, as well as a camp store should you need to stock up on basic supplies. Those with young children will find the campsite’s playground a welcoming addition.

Exploring The Area

A few miles south of Daisy State Park is the city of Murfreesboro which is home to the Ka-Do-Ha Indian village, an archaeological experience that the whole family will enjoy. Explore the interactive ancient Indian village, searching for arrowheads and crystals. This experience brings out the child in everyone, strolling through their extensive exhibitions that include ancient mosaics, bows and arrows, and prehistoric drums. Indian arts and crafts can be purchased, making this one of the unique shopping experiences you are likely to encounter.

Also located in Murfreesboro is Diamond Springs Waterpark. This waterpark is the perfect place to go as a family. Relax in the cool waters of the four thousand square-foot wading pool that features spray geysers, sprayers, water jets, animated waterspouts, and two waterslides. The park has a spacious decking area complete with sun loungers and deck chairs, ideal for lying back and relaxing as the little ones entertain themselves in the playful water, safely watched over by the resident lifeguard.

When you camp in an RV near Murfreesboro during the fall, you will have the delightful opportunity of attending the Diamonds In The Fall Festival. This festival, held every October, hosts food and craft vendors from all over Arkansas. With costume competitions, bucking bull rides and a plethora of food to sample, this festival is a family fun day not to be missed. The festival takes place near the famous Crater of Diamonds Park, the only site in North America where anyone can dig for diamonds and keep whatever they find!
