The famous Fordyce Bathhouse, designed with elaborate stained glass windows and marble floors, now houses the park’s museum and visitor center. While visiting Hot Springs National Park, plan a few days of camping with an RV in the Ouachita National Forest. This national forest covers almost two million acres and extends from central Arkansas to southeastern Oklahoma. You can experience hiking, biking, bird watching, fishing, and so much more when camping at Ouachita National Forest. The forest shelters many different wildlife and fish species, some threatened or endangered. Bring along your camera or phone so you can take pictures of the beautiful vegetation and wildlife you encounter. Before heading home from Hot Springs National Park, you may find the DeSoto Hotel an interesting place to stop and browse. Built in 1926, this historic hotel has become famous for its ghosts that roam the halls and even photobomb visitors as they take selfies inside the hotel. The kids will love the indoor gem mine, where they can pan for precious gems in all kinds of weather.
