Discover La Mirada RV rentals for memorable road trips

La Mirada is one of California's gateway communities, towns and cities that are completely structured and planned out. It’s also a great destination to rent an RV. La Mirada was originally created by Andrew McNally (of Rand-McNally) and his son-in-law in 1888. In March 1960, the city was incorporated as Mirada Hills; voters changed its name to “La Mirada” in November, 1960, and the change was made official a month later.

The Great Outdoors

It would be unthinkable to be in California and not enjoy the outdoors. To the north of La Mirada, there are numerous hiking trails and sightseeing spots. The city of Whittier is just north, and north of that you will find Whittier Turnbull Canyon Hiking Trail and Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. The recreation area has three lakes, a military museum, shooting ranges, horse center, disc golf & urban farm, while Turnbull Canyon has various trails that range from easy to more difficult and the opportunity to view animals in their natural environment. Parking at Turnbull Canyon is limited and nearby parking is permit only, so a taxi might be the best choice for getting there and back.

RV Parks

There are a number of RV parks and resorts close to La Mirada. Southeast of the city you can find a few sites, like Anaheim Harbor RV Park and Anaheim RV Park; both are approximately nine miles away, and close to Disneyland. The city of Orange has Orangeland RV Park, about 10 miles southeast. Huntington Beach, 15 miles south, has Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is located right on the Pacific Coast Highway and probably shouldn’t be missed. Long Beach has Golden Shore RV Resort, 15 miles southwest of La Mirada, and Costa Mesa has the Orange County Fair & Events Center, 18 miles southeast. To the northeast about 15 miles, you can find the East Shore RV Park at San Dimas.

Exploring The City

Some may think it strange to see a movie while on vacation, but La Mirada is technically in Hollywood's backyard. Find out which movie theaters are having special events and you just might get a chance to brush shoulders with some of Hollywood's royalty. If cinema isn't your thing, check out the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts and watch these exceptional performers live and in person. Many actors claim that the stage is their first love, due to its immediacy and connection to the audience; audience members will agree.

Alfred was kind and helpful, such a nice guy! The rig was in great condition. We had a couple of little hiccups because we are new to RVs and Alfred responded promptly with advice on resolution. Overall absolutely fantastic. Great experience 10/10 we would rent again.
