Ski boats, fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, and jet skis can all be hired from the marina at Lake Sonoma Resort. Those that are motorhome camping with their own vessel in tow should head over to the marina and make use of the public boat launch ramp. With a maximum speed limit of 50 mph in certain areas of the lake water-skiing here can be a boatload of fun for the whole family! Just make sure to watch out for the signs indicating the ‘no wake’ zones.
Camping at Lake Sonoma
RV camping at Lake Sonoma could not be any more convenient, thanks to the Liberty Glen Campground situated just minutes from the lake’s shores. Available on a first-come-first-served basis, Liberty Glen Campground offers the choice of over 100 campsites overlooking Lake Sonoma and suitable for those with an RV rental. Although there are no hookup facilities on offer in this secluded campground, campers can use the washroom facilities and drinking water provided. Those that are looking for a true camping adventure can leave their rental RV behind and set up camp for the night in one of the primitive boat-in only sites scattered around the edge of the lake.
Exploring the Area
Fed by the Russian River, Healdsburg is home to some of the most fertile grape-producing soils in California. For this reason, the area has become known for producing excellent wines and is even home to three of the top US wineries! A self-guided tour of the local wineries is easy thanks to their close proximity to each other within the town. Should you wish to explore further afield, several outlets also offer guided tours with informative commentaries. They guarantee a day full of top-class wine tasting, lunch at one of Healdsburg’s best restaurants, and even a visit to a few local breweries for any beer drinkers out there!

Jeremy made the trip fantastic. Over the top care. The RV Trailer was fully loaded, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Heater worked well. Love having the trailer delivered and picked up. No hassles of towing and Jeremy rotated the trailer to block the wind. We had a great time out at Doran Beach.

We had an incredible weekend enjoying Kate and Jason's Microlite Keystone trailer. Kate and Jason were responsive and super easy to work with. The trailer was very clean and in great condition. It was also stocked with all of the amenities you could possible need for a great trip. If you have no camping gear and want to travel this is a trailer you could do that in. Jason dropped the trailer off for us and made sure we knew how to operate everything and then picked it up at the end of our trip. I highly recommend renting from Jason and Kate and we will definitely be renting from them again for our future trips. We really had a wonderful experience! Thank you so much!
