The Campground by the Lake is an incredible campground right by the lake. Featuring multiple RV sites, campgrounds, a recreation complex with pool, gym and basketball, along with an ice rink, this campground is THE place to go for a wonderful vacation. Sites are huge inside this park so fear not the RV rental you choose but take your time as the trees don't give! Once in you can walk, bike, or take the bus to everywhere there is to be in South Lake Tahoe.

The California State Railroad Museum complex consists of six original, reconstructed, and new buildings. Over 225,000 square feet of total exhibit space, there are many things you can learn about the unique past and culture of the West. Many interactive exhibits demonstrate the importance of railroads in everyday life. The 21 restored locomotives include a Pullman style sleeping car and a Railway Post Office that visitors can actually board.
The Yuba City Astronomical Observatory is a wonderful place for visitors of all ages. The observatory is owned and operated by a family trust and located south of the city near the Sutter Buttes Mountain Range. Visitors will be impressed with the entire facility. There is one nine foot dome for the brilliant scientists who study astronomy. There is also an 11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The focused study using the observatory includes planetary, deep sky, NEO studies, photometry, and astrophotography. The observatory is operated by a trustee appointed by the family. The facilities were established in September of 2010. The staff at the observatory hosts star parties in order to get the people in the community to be excited about the sky above them at night. They focus is on providing educational programs for members of the community. All the members of the community and visitors are welcome to these special events.
Hannah Nicole Vineyards and Winery is a fun outing in Brentwood, California. The staff at the facilities are experts in growing grapes and producing fine wines. They are ready to take guests on a great tour of all of their facilities. In the wine tasting rooms, guests will have the chance to sample five wines from their menu. Individuals and groups of two to seven people do not need an appointment. Groups of eight or more should call or email to make a reservation. Guests on one of the tours often receive special prices on the wine. This location is also a great place for a picnic in a peaceful setting.
