Information About Orange, CA
The city of Orange is a must-visit stop in Orange County (the third biggest county in the nation in terms of population). Because most of the houses were built before 1920, you can get a good sense of what the area looked like at the turn of the century in a way you can't elsewhere since most other cities in the region have demolished their old property. Orange is a great place to rent an RV. As well as being a great location from which to explore Orange, it is also close enough to Los Angeles and all this city has to offer. The Orange Zoo is great for all ages. The entrance fee is very reasonably priced, so you can spend a morning or afternoon here even if you are on a budget. It exhibits mainly Southwestern US animals, and you will get to see such wildlife as cougars, bears, hawks, coyotes, and raccoons. The staff are all very helpful and will answer any questions that you have. While you are in the area, why not head to the Irvine Regional Park, one of the best parks in the district, with hiking trails, horseback riding, and playgrounds. The Peters Canyon Regional Park is also a great place to stop by if you are visiting Orange. Check out the great trails for walkers, joggers, and mountain bikers.
