The Great Outdoors

Look for a luxury RV rental near Owen Sound and start your adventure at any of the city's breathtaking waterfalls. Inglis Falls is one of the most popular cascades in Owen Sound. The waterfall is located in the Inglis Falls Conservation Area and is one of the tallest waterfalls in Ontario. Visitors can climb to the viewing platform and snap some fantastic photos of the waterfall, the city, and Owen Sound Harbor. There are over four miles of trails for hiking and birdwatching as well.

Harrison Park is another great place to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Streams and trails meander through this 98-acre park. Other features include basketball courts, a mini-golf course, a pool, and a bird sanctuary. Several trails connect to Bruce Trail, one of the longest foot trails in Canada. Visitors can also hike to Weaver’s Creek Falls, a small waterfall located within the park.

Make time to visit the Indian Falls Conservation Area, particularly its 49-foot waterfall. The trail to the falls is a steep, rocky path and can be difficult to climb. The trail is closed during the winter months and opens mid-spring when park officials deem it safe to climb. The Indian Falls Conservation Area also has picnic areas, hiking trails, tennis courts, and a playground for children.

After finding that perfect travel trailer rental in Owen Sound, drive over to the Pottawatomi Conservation Area and view Jones Falls. In August or September, Jones Falls has a minimal flow but surges back to a fully flowing waterfall from October through July. The waterfall is viewable from the parking area but is more impressive when you hike near the base of the falls.

Camping in Owen Sound

Once you pick up your RV rental in Owen Sound, head over to Harrison Park’s campgrounds for a few nights of rest and relaxation. Many of the campsites have 30- or 50-amp electric service as well as water hookups. A modern bathhouse is located near the pool within walking distance of the campground.

Kelso Beach Campground is located near Harrison Park and is excellent for smaller RVs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground. Some campsites have electric and water hookups. Showers and restrooms are available, and a picnic table and fire pit are provided at each campsite.

For those campers searching for a great community atmosphere, park your RV rental at the Owen Sound KOA. Campsites are private and spacious, with several sites able to accommodate RVs up to 70 feet in length. Many sites have 50-amp electric, water, and sewer hookups. A sewage dump station is provided on-site. Evening activities at the KOA give campers a chance to mingle and relax after a busy day of sight-seeing.
