The Great Outdoors
A visit to Niagara Falls is probably going to be on your itinerary when you get a motorhome rental in Welland. There’s no doubt that the Canadian side of the falls is the touristy one, the area adjacent to them is packed with hotels, casinos, and shopping and the nearby Horseshoe Falls viewing area is the quintessential place to take a selfie when visiting Niagara Falls. For a more peaceful experience though, head across the border to New York, which doesn’t have as spectacular of views but sees fewer tourists and you can book a boat ride to the base of the falls for an up-close experience.

Thanks to its proximity to Niagara Falls and all the tourist attractions associated with it, there are quite a few parks to stay in when you rent an RV in Welland. One of the closest to town is Bissell’s Hideaway Resort in Ridgeville. Not only does it have all the basics like full hookups, laundry facilities, and showers, but there’s a full-scale waterpark, mini golf, and pedal boats to keep the whole family entertained; this RV park could be an attraction on its own.
Exploring the City
One of the top historical sights in the Welland area is the Morningstar Mill, a beautifully persevered mill and waterwheel on the Decew Falls. It’s now run as an industrial heritage museum and is open for tours. It’s the perfect spot to get some picturesque shots of rural Ontario life.
