For first-time Outdoorsy customers, this was not a great experience. Our booking was dropped on the day of our scheduled trip. The owner notified us of mechanical issues, but did not keep us posted if it was going to get fixed in time of our booking, which left us scrambling last minute for an alternative plan. He seemed nice at first, but completely dropped the ball with communicating with us after canceling our booking. We needed to get Outdoorsy customer service involved to get our refund, because he flat out stopped responding to us. Outdoorsy CS verified that he never technically canceled our booking, which meant that he would have kept our charges had we not filed a complaint. We received a full refund, but it was not a pleasant experience trying to rent this RV. Mechanical issues happen and it’s understandable, but failing to respond to your customers in this scenario is not.

John was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable before leaving on our trip. The RV is easy to drive and full of many luxuries to make any trip extra awesome. We dry camped most of the trip at Bass Lake in the Sierra Forest where we could bike everywhere. The RV was so great to come back to each night and made introducing camping to our 2 year old a dream!
