Rules and policies
Know The Vehicle Dimensions: Be aware of the height, width, length, and weight of your RV to avoid clearance issues with bridges, tunnels, and parking structures. Practice Handling: Spend time practicing turns, parking, and reversing in a safe, open area before heading out on the road. Maintain Safe Speeds: Drive at or below the speed limit, especially in windy conditions or on winding roads. RVs can be more susceptible to tipping and swaying. Plan Your Route: Use RV-specific navigation apps to find routes that accommodate larger vehicles and provide information on rest stops, campgrounds, and dump stations. Check Weather Conditions: Weather can significantly impact RV driving. Avoid driving in high winds, heavy rain, or snow if possible. Inspect RV: Before each trip, check tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, and the overall condition of the RV to ensure it’s roadworthy. Use Seat Belts: Ensure all passengers use seat belts while the RV is in motion. Distribute Weight Evenly: Properly distribute weight inside the RV to avoid imbalance and improve handling. Secure Loose Items: Secure all items inside the RV to prevent them from shifting or falling while driving. Monitor Fuel Levels: Keep an eye on your fuel gauge and plan refueling stops, especially in remote areas.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

Do you allow guests to take the RV out of the country?

A.

No. Guests must keep the RV within the contiguous U.S.

Q.

What happens if I get in an accident or theft occurs?

A.

Outdoorsy insurance coverage requires police report for all 3rd party incidents within 48 hours. Guest is responsible for filing this report. We recommend your opting for the highest coverage available because we will not work with private insurance.

Q.

Do I need a special licence to drive your RV?

A.

No. The class B RV can be driven by any licensed driver. Guest will be required to show their drivers license when picking up the RV and prior to use. No additional drivers are permitted to drive the RV no matter what.

Q.

What kind of maintenance is required during the rental?

A.

Guests are expected to keep the RV clean and notify the rental company of any issues. Basic maintenance such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels may be required. That means if you see a warning light on the dashboard, you are obligated to act or notify host immediately.
