Auburn State Recreation Area is located on the western edge of California near the state’s border with Nevada. This 42,377-acre area was once a sought-after place for gold panning and still is thanks to its abundance of minerals. During the 1950s, a dam was to be built on the grounds, but this plan was soon abandoned due to fears of its construction causing an earthquake.

We had a great time and a wonderful overall experience with both the van and through James. The training he offers is quick and simple. Van was clean and comfortable even as the weather tried to make us hunker down from time to time. James was very accommodating. We are planning our next adventure and James will be our first go to host. Can't give enough props.

The trailer was set up quickly, and SHON is very nice. Everything was in working condition. Love the outdoor blue LED lights. Refrigerator kept everything extremely cold. Stove and oven light quickly. It was perfectly comfortable for the two adults on the trip. Shon explained how everything works very well.

This was our first time renting an rv so I was a little apprehensive. I'm so glad we went with Justin. He was very accommodating with our pickup and drop off schedule. The trailer was loaded with everything you need for cooking including a Blackstone grill. I loved that big plush towels and wash cloths were included for showers. He also provided paper plates and plastic ware if you don't want to use the provided dishes. That made clean up a breeze. My husband appreciated the weight distribution hitch.
Thanks, Justin, for making our first experience a great one!
