The camper is very cute and we had a great weekend! One recommendation would be to add more utensils other than only plastic forks. We wanted to cook some eggs in the morning but couldn’t find any utensils except for plastic forks. Would have been nice to know the utensils only included plastic forks and no spatula’s. We had some issues during the trip and the owner was responsive and addressed our questions and concerns. Thank you!

Shane’s answer

Hi Kinnari, thanks for the feedback! We have added metal utensils to the van! The spatula was in the pots/pans drawer, in the camping utensils container, but we have moved it to make it more obvious to future renters.

Shane was great to work with! He answered all my first timer questions quickly and efficiently. The van was beautiful and easy to use. It was great to have a dog friendly van so my partner in crime could come with!

Shane was so great to rent from. He was extremely communicative and helpful in answering all of our questions. And quick to reply. This was our first time camping/traveling in a van. The van was great! Comfy bed. Drove well. Loved having solar to park and camp where we wanted without having to find electricity. Lots of storage areas and cute little touches inside the van. We want to plan another trip already!

Shane’s answer

Thank you, Gina! Loved having you rent Vancy. You are welcome to rent any time again!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The van runs totally off-grid! No need to plug into water or electric, so your campsite can be a "tent only" sight. The van runs off of a big battery power bank that is powered by solar and by a DC-DC charger on cloudy days while driving. The water can be filled up at any potable water fill every 3-5 days depending on your consumption. The dry flush toilet (optional add-on) uses cartridges that last about 15 flushes.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
1. Only fill with DIESEL. No GAS! 2. Diesels don't like to be started right away when you put the key in. Put the key in, turn it a half turn, wait for it to beep 3 times, and then start it! 3. Downshift when going down hill instead of riding the breaks! Just push the shifter to the left and watch the gears "go down" on the dash. Make sure RPMs don't go too high into the redline zone when downshifting.
