Frequently asked questions
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The van runs totally off-grid! No need to plug into water or electric, so your campsite can be a "tent only" sight. The van runs off of a big battery power bank that is powered by solar and by a DC-DC charger on cloudy days while driving. The water can be filled up at any potable water fill every 3-5 days depending on your consumption. The dry flush toilet (optional add-on) uses cartridges that last about 15 flushes.
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
1. Only fill with DIESEL. No GAS! 2. Diesels don't like to be started right away when you put the key in. Put the key in, turn it a half turn, wait for it to beep 3 times, and then start it! 3. Downshift when going down hill instead of riding the breaks! Just push the shifter to the left and watch the gears "go down" on the dash. Make sure RPMs don't go too high into the redline zone when downshifting.
