Winter, summer, spring break-- doesn’t matter; chances are thousands and thousands of people pour in each day to see what the big fuss is about. This thriving beach city is located on the Atlantic coast between Orlando and Jacksonville.

Daytona is famous for its big, beautiful, welcoming beaches that allow people to drive their vehicles onto the beach, provided they maintain a safe and slow speed. Speaking of speed, NASCAR calls Daytona Beach its home, and the motorsport mecca attracts people from all over to witness the Coke Zero 400 and the world-famous Daytona 500. Bike Week and Biketoberfest also bring in motorcycle enthusiast twice a year to get together and celebrate their love for speed and freedom.

With a fantastic international airport, Interstates 4 and 95, and an Amtrak line that enables you to travel to Miami or any of the other cities on the eastern seaboard, Daytona is conveniently located and the perfect place to rent an RV.

The Great Outdoors

People from all over visit the city of Daytona Beach to party and lay on the picturesque white sand beaches. While you could easily keep yourself occupied throughout the duration of your trip by visiting the beach alone, there are many incredible parks and nature preserves in the Sunshine State that you should seriously consider driving to in your Daytona Beach camper rental.

Tiger Bay State Forest is a large collection of pine forest and swampland in the western Daytona Beach area. Recreation is encouraged here in the form of hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, boating, or fishing in any of the ponds, wetlands, or lagoons that dot the land.

Heart Island Conservation Area is great for primitive camping, birdwatching, and photographing the wonderful local wildlife. Black bears are known to roam here and are generally quite friendly unless provoked.

Tomoka and Bulow Creek State Parks lie to the north of town, and both have lots to offer. Tomoka State Park is an awesome place to see manatees, alligators, and bald eagles; the park is even the site of Nocoroco, a thousand-year-old Timucuan village that sits alongside the ocean. Bulow Creek State Park is great for canoeing and kayaking in coastal waterways or seeing the massive 400-year-old live oak trees that tower above the ground.
