Getting Outdoors

On the western shore of Lake Blue Ridge is the Lake Blue Ridge Recreation Area, which has a boat ramp for easy lake access and parking for your rental RV. It’s a great lake to explore by canoe or kayak, with lots of small inlets and creeks to investigate. A little north of the recreation area is the Lake Blue Ridge Marina. Here you can rent pontoon boats, canoes and kayaks, there’s a full-service marina store and restaurant.

Camping at Lake Blue Ridge

Morganton Point Recreation Area is on the northeast shore of Lake Blue Ridge and includes a campground that is open year-round. There are over 40 campsites here, around half with water and electrical connections, plus restrooms with showers and toilets. A swimming beach is available on site, along with picnic tables, fire rings, and barbecue areas.

Exploring the Area

Pull into Blue Ridge to stock up your rental RV with supplies, and while there, pay a visit to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. The 13-mile railroad takes you on a magical journey through the Chattahoochee National Forest following the path of the Toccoa River for much of the time. The trip takes an hour in each direction with a two-hour layover in the neighboring towns of McCaysville and Copperhill, TN.

Book this RV! We had the absolutely best time as a family. The owners had everything we could need + more stocked for us. There was even a kids welcome present in the camper when it was delivered with fun activities for our kids. It was the sweetest added touch. The camper was in great shape, clean, and the owners were so welcoming and responsive. I can’t say enough good things. If we ever rent again, it will be from them!
