2.0We have rented RVs through Outdoorsy for the past four years, and unfortunately this was by far our worst experience. We chose Ultimate Tailgating because we were willing to pay more for what appeared to be a higher-end diesel motorhome. The RV itself wasn't terrible and had the typical wear and tear you would expect from a rental. Our biggest issues were the company's communication and overall professionalism. Shortly after booking, I sent the host a message explaining that we were taking this trip to visit my brother, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer. I never received a response. As our departure date got closer, I sent three additional messages asking what time and where we would be picking up the RV, especially since the listed pickup address appeared to be just a side street in SeaTac. After receiving no replies, I genuinely started to worry that we had been scammed and were going to lose nearly $6,000, leaving us without an RV for an incredibly important family trip. The night before our trip, we finally received a message containing only a generic YouTube walk-around video of the RV, the driver's name, and a phone number. I texted the number to find out who the driver was, and he called around 8:30 p.m. He explained that he had already been driving for 18 hours and was trying to make it to SeaTac in time. Since he was driving directly through our town anyway, we offered to save him the extra drive by meeting him there and even paid for his Uber back to SeaTac ourselves. He agreed. When he arrived the next morning, he spent about 10 minutes trying to clean the interior after both his long drive and the previous rental. The previous renters had left alcohol and personal belongings in the overhead bunk. After we got him a ride back to SeaTac, before leaving, he came back and demanded money because he felt he had "helped us out." This was extremely unprofessional and awkward. Unfortunately, once we began our trip, the condition of the RV became even more concerning: The toilet had clearly not been cleaned and still had visible skid marks. The gray water tank was already full and overflowed the first evening as soon as we went to take a shower. The floor had not been properly swept. The RV had such an overwhelming smell of cologne that we drove with the windows down for the first hour just to air it out. The sewer dump hose had been run over and was damaged to the point where is was very difficult to to empty the tanks with out causing an unsanitary situation. Returning the RV was just as frustrating. Communication remained extremely poor. No one responded to my messages asking what time the RV needed to be returned, and my phone calls went unanswered. I finally reached someone by phone just two days before our scheduled return to arrange a pickup time. While the RV itself was generally what we expected mechanically for a used rental, the lack of communication, poor preparation, inadequate cleaning, and overall disorganization made this a very disappointing experience—especially given the premium price we paid. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience fell well below the level of professionalism I expect from an Outdoorsy host. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Ultimate Tailgating and would encourage future renters to consider companies with stronger communication and better preparation before booking.

5.0RV was amazing, Ultimate Tailgating was extremely helpful. Very short Uber ride to pick up and drop off from SEA. Zero complaints. I needed help throughout our trip with some features of the RV that I was unfamiliar with and the responses were spot on and on time. Would highly recommend!! It worked perfectly for us.
