The camper itself was nice and we enjoyed our trip, but the rental experience was disappointing. The biggest issues were misleading fees and extremely poor communication. The listing advertises FREE DELIVERY, yet there is a mandatory $250 setup fee supposedly covering setup, cleaning, cleaning supplies, and other expenses. Despite that, the only cleaning items provided were a tiny amount of dish soap, a sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, and a broom/dustpan we didn’t find until the end. We had to buy our own cleaning supplies, then received a text on our last night asking us to clean before pickup. Paying a $250 cleaning/setup fee and then buying supplies and cleaning ourselves is frustrating. Communication was worse. Calls and texts before booking went unanswered, Outdoorsy responses were slow, and I had to reach out on arrival day just to confirm setup. No instructions were provided. I had to ask if it was locked and where the keys were. We finally found the keys on our LAST DAY hidden under forks in the silverware drawer, along with an information binder hidden in a cabinet. Nice camper, but poor communication and questionable fee transparency seriously hurt the experience.

Camper was perfect.

We could not be more pleased! This was our first time renting a trailer but not our first time camping. This gave us the perfect opportunity to try things out for ourselves, instead of relying on our dear friends. We camp at Lakewood Family Campground in Myrtle Beach and you must use one of their approved vendors for a rental. MTRV's website was by far the easiest to use. Their information is clear, their FAQs cover just about everything you can think of, and the booking process was simple - not to mention, if you have pets, their trailers are 100% pet friendly! This may cause some to question, me too, but, the trailer was clean, smelled fresh, there was no sign of previous pets. We rented a 2021 and it could have been a current model it was in such fantastic condition. They handled the set up, and they even came to dump the black water tank mid week. Any questions I had, Tom and his team immediately responded back - they were a joy to work with and we have already booked for next year! If you want amazing customer service and a quality RV rental experience, book with MTRV!

Our overall experience was very good! We've never been camping before, and we would definitely rent again! The camper was very clean, modern, and comfortable. When we weren't out enjoying the campgrounds, we were inside the camper! There were a few issues upon arrival: The kitchen faucet handle was leaking, and we later discovered that the toilet was also. MTRV was very attentive to our issues, although it took 3 days to get the toilet fixed (I think that was due to the repair company). They also never provided instructions on what to do when the black tank got full, so we had to contact MTRV, who sent someone out to take care of it. MTRV provided a very easy and seamless process to enjoy our first camping experience. They even provided a lot of the basics like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. so we didn't have to buy it to get started! We will definitely consider renting from them again!
