Bayou Segnette State Park is a park in Westwego, LA in Jefferson Parish. The park is located just south of New Orleans, between the Mississippi River and Lake Salvador. Locals refer to the entire area as the West Bank, in the sense that it is the western bank of the Mississippi River. Visitors who book an RV in Jefferson Parish can get to New Orleans in under 20 minutes, Baton Rouge is about 90 minutes away, and Gulfport, MS is also about 90 minutes away.

The Audubon Zoo in New Orleans is across the Mississippi River from Westwego. The zoo is part of a larger Audubon Park.
