Bayou Segnette State Park offers several different camping sites. They offer 50 amp electric and water hookups. Visitors may also find WiFi and cable; being that close to urban centers, the over-the-air antenna television should function somewhat as well. Several of their sites can accommodate a big rig.
Exploring the Area
Much of Westwego entertainment is centered around waterways. In addition to fishing at the state park, travelers can charter fishing trips. Many of the charters are in or around Belle Chasse, due to its location on the Mississippi and near the Gulf Coast. The charters can explore one of the lakes in the area or actually head out into the Gulf of Mexico.
