The Great Outdoors
The premier outdoor space to explore with an RV rental in Ruston is Lincoln Parish Park on the north side of town. The massive woodland space is crisscrossed by several hiking trails, and there’s a beautiful lake to swim and fish in (with the proper state license). Kayaks and canoes are available for rent from nearby sporting goods stores and are a common sight on the lake. The park also has a few campsites with full hookups if you’d like to stick close to town with the Ruston camper rental.
RV Parks
There aren’t too many RV parks in northern Louisiana, so don’t be surprised if you need to do a little driving to get from the park to your intended attractions. Antique Village RV Park is one of the closest places to camp when you get a travel trailer rental in Ruston. It’s right off I-20 and sites there have full hookups, bathrooms, a dump station, and laundry facilities. If you’re thinking about visiting Shreveport when you rent an RV here, this is one of the more convenient places to stay.
Exploring the City
Despite not being a household name when it comes to travel destinations, Ruston has quite a few attractions that will appeal to a wide variety of visitors. History buffs and military enthusiasts will be fascinated by the Louisiana Military Museum, which contains artifacts from just about every major conflict that the U.S. has participated in, including Civil War uniforms, World War I machine guns, and even a helicopter from the Korean War. There’s a lot packed into a rather small space, and museum officials have done an excellent job of laying out a narrative for each conflict that helps visitors to immerse themselves in history.

Johnny was so helpful and kind in all our communication, as it was my first time renting an RV (lots of questions)! The pictures do not do this camper justice! There was so much room for our family of 5. He had it supplied as if his family was camping for the weekend. I can not say enough good things about this owner and his camper! Will most definitely rent from Johnny again, when in the area!
