Overall good RV experience. Would rent again. We traveled to 2 remote NPs in California with spotty to no cell service on narrow mountainous roads with no shoulders and steep drop-offs. So, issues with the RV were potentially serious. We experienced 3 issues with the RV: 1) Low tire pressure warning light came on mid trip on Labor Day. We drove backwards 10 miles to a "town" to fill the tires-no air pumps! Called emergency # but no help was available until the next day but took 4 hours of waiting patiently to learn this. During that time, the tires appeared fine, so we chanced driving 50 miles to a town where we could buy a tire gauge. Apparently, a bad tire pressure sensor that caused a lot of concern and spoiled a day of sightseeing. 2) No Operators Manual for RAM vehicle. If we would have had one, we would not have been concerned about the light that would not go off under driver's running board. Concerned the battery would discharge overnight in a remote campground. Drove 3 miles to visitor center for cell service late in evening and learned it was on an 11-minute timer. 3) Apparent water tank overflow that was clear but felt slightly greasy-winterized? Didn't use.

Period of Rental: 05/26/2021 to 06/02/2021 The Owner, Base Camp, out-performed on making my vacation most memorable. They patiently answered my long list questions. During orientation, they gave a comprehensive explanation of the RV "life-support" systems. I quickly learned the important differences between a RV and a vacation cottage. The 2021 Jayco van was very attractive and well-designed both inside and out. It drew admiring glances and comments whenever we parked. I was blown-away by all the fixtures and appliances that could be stuffed into a little 22 ft van. I give Base Camp 5 stars for a very fun 1st time RV experience. (Note, for this particular model: the frig did not work; the 2 twin-size beds were not combinable; and engine was undersize for mountain travel.) ~Doug
