Overall there are more than 30 miles of trails to explore when camping at Holyoke Range State Park. The trails vary in difficulty but offer a great way to explore this stunning landscape. One of the most popular trails in the Seven Sisters Trail, which is a relatively difficult eight-mile hike over a series of summits to the Holyoke Summit House. Although a very strenuous walk, along the way, you will be rewarded with some incredible lookouts out over the range.
Camping at Holyoke Range State Park
Peppermint Park is one of the many campgrounds that could work well when you rent a camper near Holyoke Range State Park. The campground is made up of 80 acres of wooded and grassy hillside, nestled in the famous Berkshire Hills. The campsites here are spacious and offer full hookups, with 20, 30, 50 amp electric. There are easily accessible restrooms and showers, a camp store, laundromat, dumping station, and when the weather is warm enough, a large heated swimming pool. There is plenty to keep you entertained during your stay. Sports courts, a children’s playground, and a range of planned activities and entertainment all await your arrival.

It is home to a range of great attractions which have been built with kids in mind such as a water play park, a small steamer train, pedal boats to use on the pond, a mini-golf course, a little zoo, and lots more. The Minnie Winnie delivered big! The sleeping area had a comfortable mattress and plenty of room (queen) for the two of us and a variable number of our shelties. The bathroom/closet was perfect, with a shower roomy enough for 6'3"me and plenty of storage for our towels and clothes. The slide-out is HUGE and the kitchen/dining area was more than ample. Gerry took care of all the set-up and take-down, explained everything we needed to know, and in general was a downright friendly bloke to deal with before, during, and after our vacation. This is a nearly annual trip for us, so we are looking forward to a repeat of our experience next year!
