Van Buren Campground is located within Van Buren State Park in western Michigan. The campground sits on the southeastern shores of the very long Great Lake, Lake Michigan. This location is situated near the small town of South Haven, while the nearest larger town is Saint Joseph, located about 25 miles to the southwest. The state's capital, Lansing, is more than 100 miles to the northeast.Van Buren Campground is quite large and sits near the lake. The campground doesn't actually provide lake views, as it is nestled within the nearby forest, but there are walking trails that offer easy lake access. Electric hookups are available at each campsite, and there are bathrooms and showers offered for campers. There is also a playground for children. Pets are welcome at the park, though not on the beach. Reservations can be made for some of the campsites. Camping with an RV at this campground makes for a great place to spend the night when you're enjoying all there is to do locally.This is a fairly rural area, though grocery stores, gas stations, and trucks stops are available within 20 miles of the campground. How does check-in work?
Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
