Jacomo Campground is located in Lee's Summit, MO, in the far central-western portion of the state. The campground sits on the outskirts of Kansas City, only about 20 miles from the state border with Kansas. As a suburb of the large city, this is one of the bigger towns in the local area.Jacomo Campground sits on the southwestern side of the long and winding Lake Jacomo. There are also several parks that surround the lake. These, along with the many attractions available near the big city, mean this area offers countless opportunities for recreational activities. Camping with an RV at this park will make it easy to explore all of these.The camp offers sites with hookups and some that are shaded. Many campsites are available, of differing dimensions, so this park can accommodate almost all sizes of RV. Bathrooms and showers are offered for guests, as well as potable water. There is also a playground for children. The park is open at the beginning of April through the end of October.Should you find yourself running low on supplies, there are gas stations and grocery stores located within five miles of the campground. Any of these will make for quick stops. There are also multiple restaurants available nearby if you find yourself hungry. Several of these specialize in the local delicacy, BBQ! With a stay at this family-friendly campground in western Missouri, you should have no trouble locating the services you need.

The Great Outdoors

RV camping at Jacomo Campground provides a whole host of outdoor activities for you to enjoy. Lake Jacomo is a great place to spend a hot summer day. There are docks and marinas that allow boat access. Fishing and swimming are available here, as well. There is also a marina that houses a small store, and that provides equipment rentals. There is even a fish feeding station! Trails are available for hiking around the lake. It also features numerous fingers and coves that are perfect for exploring by paddleboats, such as a kayak or canoe.It can get pretty hot and humid in this part of the country during the summer months! Cool off at Summit Waves with its swimming pools, lazy river, and water slides. If you're looking for additional outdoor family fun, check out Paradise Park. This amusement park features go-karts, laser tag, rock climbing walls, bumper cars, arcade games, and a mini-golf course.There are parks located all over the local area. Many of these offer walking trails, some that even run along the nearby Missouri River. The Line Creek Trail is one option. It is open for both biking and walking, and plenty of scenic views of the nearby woods are available from here.

Exploring the Area

When you book an RV in Jackson County, you will find many different destinations available to explore. Missouri Town 1855 is located nearby. This living history museum showcases restored homes from as far back as the early 1800s. Actors, dressed in period-specific clothing, portray the daily goings-on of this type of community. Visitors can experience what it would have been like to live here almost 200 years ago. RV camping at Jacomo Campground will put you within easy reach of fun activities for the whole family.Union Station is a historic train station in Kansas City. The building's history is featured here, and its unique architecture can be viewed. There are various exhibits available to see that change throughout the year. There is also a model train display and science museum called Science City. Some specialty shops are offered, such as those where you can watch candy being made. There is also a restaurant available on-site.Other interesting sites in the local area include the National WWI Museum and Memorial and the Kansas City Zoo. The museum is one of the largest in the world to commemorate the First World War, and it offers countless artifacts and information on that conflict. The zoo features numerous exotic animals to view, many that are not native to North America.When you've been looking for a fun place to relax, that also offers easy access to all sorts of big-city activities, consider a campsite at Jacomo Campground. Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
