Getting Outdoors

An RV rental near Bowman Lake will give you the chance to enjoy all sorts of fun activities. Swimming is allowed here, though the lake is fed by glaciers, so it is quite cold. Boating, fishing, and paddle sports are the primary activities people engage in at this lake. Incredible views of the Rocky Mountain are available from here, and the lake is known for the beautiful, blue color of the water, thanks to the glacial runoff.

Camping at Bowman Lake

Camping with an RV is possible near Bowman Lake as there is a campground at the lake site. However, due to the narrow and rough dirt road that must be used to reach it, as well as tight turnarounds in the campground itself, no RV's over 21 feet long are allowed. Fortunately, there are several other camping options available nearby that can more easily accommodate longer RV's.

Exploring the Area

Rent a camper in Flathead County, and you will find there are so many destinations to explore. There is a unique attraction located near the lake called Goat Lick Overlook. It is found on US 2, at about the halfway point between the small towns of West Glacier and Browning, MT. Here, mountain goats cling to the sides of the cliffs and lick salt that seeps through the rocks. These wild animals are usually quite calm, but they can become aggressive if their babies are nearby, and they feel threatened. An RV rental near this lake will put several interesting attractions well within your grasp.

The RV was perfect for our family of 4! (2 adults, 2 young kids). Our host walked us through everything we needed to do in a wonderfully easy to understand way, and nothing was too complicated. The freedom to just drive around and have the kids be comfortable was great. Highly recommend!
