The Great Outdoors

One of the most popular reasons to go RV camping at Sea Grove Camping Resort is its proximity to the beach. The campground is close to the beaches at Sea Isle City and is a short drive from the Wildwood, Cape May, and Ocean City beaches. These beaches are all ideal for sunbathing and swimming. Visitors can go kayaking from several points along the Sea Isle City beach, and local outfitters offer rental gear. Several areas also allow surfing. Check the map before heading out to find out which activities are allowed in each location. The campground is right next to Ludlam Bay, where you can go fishing and boating. The bay is relatively quiet compared to the rest of the region. You can access the bay from the marinas at Sea Isle City or at Whale Creek. Many different species of fish can be caught in the bay, with bass species being some of the most common. Many outfitters in Sea Isle City stock fishing supplies. If you are new to angling, you may also want to consider going on a fishing tour. Several companies run these tours out of the Cape May area and will take you fishing in the Delaware Bay and other local bodies of water. There are two beautiful preserved natural areas near the RV campground, the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge and the Beaver Swamp Fish and Wildlife Management Area. Both of these areas house hundreds of bird species as well as native fish, reptile, mammal, and plant species. There are no trails, but you can explore these areas and go bird watching. Hunting is allowed in certain parts of the wildlife management areas; review the regulations before you go.

Exploring The Area

There are lots of fun things to do when you book a travel trailer rental in Cape May County. Whale watching tours are particularly popular during the summer. Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
