Recommended RV Campgrounds and Attractions around Tijeras, NM
Albuquerque North/Bernalillo KOA near Rio Rancho, New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, is a wonderful campground for a vacation. The park run by a dedicated staff is located in an oasis filled with flowers. The sites situated around a shady pool area are for pull thru RVs. The pool as well as a covered pavilion, playground, volleyball court, and horseshoes are available for all residents. There is also a book exchange, gift shop, and two dog parks. The gift shop has a wonderful selection of Native American crafts, snacks, drinks, RV supplies, and other essentials. The new express train leaves for downtown Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Belen from Bernalillo which is only a mile away. New Mexico has many great attractions including Indian ruins, ghost towns, pueblos, and much more. A free shuttle will take guests from the campgrounds to the Santa Ana Casino for an enjoyable evening of bowling, dining, and entertainment.
Los Suenos de Santa Fe is nicely located near downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico. This peaceful campground is surprisingly located right next to a truck rental business and busy road, but manages to keep a peaceful, quiet atmosphere anyway. The level spaces are large and treed, providing pockets of shade. The swimming pool is kept in good repair, as are all the facilities. Grab a lawn chair and relax with your favorite book or watch the sun rise over Atalaya Mountain. Take your furry friends for a walk along the dog run, or gather a group at the picnic pavilion. This pretty place is remarkably calm for a campground situated within an urban area, but that just means you are close to all the amenities you could ever want. Take a walk to the downtown and enjoy the proximity to many shops and restaurants, or take the bus to venture a little further.
