At over 55-acres, Camp Wilderness offers over 140 deluxe RV sites, 56 tent/ pop-up sites and 15 cabins. Wake up to a day full of fun! Plus, registered guests can purchase specially discounted Carowinds admission tickets! The campground is adjacent to Carowinds and shuttle service is provided. Camp Wilderness features RV, Pop-up and Tent Sites and can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length. The paved RV sites feature full hookups with water, sewer and electric. Fifty of the sites have upgraded, 50-amp service. In addition, there are 56 spacious tent and pop-up sites with water hookups and 30-amp electric service. Every site also features a charcoal grill. The RV site is open all year round and includes a Trading Post with General Store, picnic tables at each site, and a bathroom facility with hot showers, Guests also may enjoy a swimming pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), and shuffleboard and cornhole. The campground has been in the family since 1939, and the operations as well as the maintenance are in the hands of one of the members of the family. He continues the dedication of the family to a park that is safe, quiet, and hospitable for race fans and other visitors. The park is especially popular with fans attending events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The park is open year round, and the weather is almost always excellent.
