Sites come with a picnic table and grill, plus drinking water with modern restrooms and showers are located nearby. There are no water or sewer hookups at this state park RV campgrounds, although a dump station is located near the entrance to the park, and there are electrical hookups. The park is a great place to spend the night as not only will you be close to the lake, but you’ll also have the wonders of nature right on your doorstep.
Exploring the Area
Animal lovers should pay a visit to the North Carolina Zoo. It is the world's largest natural habitat zoo, which means that all the animals have plenty of room to roam and explore in their enclosures. Over 1,800 animals call the park their home, with a dedicated team on hand to care for them. You'll be able to see all sorts of creatures, both big and small, from the African elephant and lion to the Arctic fox. There are regular talks and feedings throughout the day and special events on special occasions throughout the year.
