Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Lake Alma has an interesting history, and a lot has happened to make it into the state park that it is today. Back in 1903, the site was constructed to form a private amusement park. However, today the park consists of a quiet lake and gently meandering stream through a wooded valley. It lies in the unglaciated hill area of Ohio, which forms part of the Appalachian Highlands, with nearby towns including Jackson, Wellston, and McArthur.
You could spend hours hiking and picnicking in Lake Alma State Park, with four miles of scenic hiking trails taking you through the woodland and lake. If you rent an RV in Jackson County in the winter months, many of the trails transform into cross country skiing and sledding trails, and the park can be seen in an entirely different light. There are a number of picnic tables scattered throughout the site and nature programs so you can learn more about flora and fauna of the area.
