My fiancee and I converted an empty cargo van into an off grid camper. The queen mattress is America's #1 rated mattress, a 12" Casper memory foam bed. Awesome gas mileage at 21 mpg highway and 17 mpg city. Both captain chairs swivel around to provide a comfortable living space with the bench seat and bamboo table. The bench seat has comfortable and quality cushions from Crate & Barrel. Above the table is a dimmable light blue and brass pendant light for a beautiful ambiance. LED lights illuminate the rest of the interior. Our kitchen has a stow away single propane stove that fits nicely on the dark stained butcher block counter top. For an extra fee, select a GoSun solar oven; this is narrow and long but can bake and roast just about anything. An electric water kettle helps prepare your coffee via a french press.Kitchen equipment includes a cast iron dutch oven, stainless steel 4 cup sauce pot and lid, seasoned cast steel small fry pan, and a large flat starfit rock pan. Insulated pint glasses, modern porcelain dinnerware, and a pair of wine glasses round out the kitchen.Custom insulated window shades keep it warm in the the cool climates and remarkably cool in the warm climates. It has a diesel operated heater that taps into the van's diesel tank. It has a high altitude kit so the heater is compatible to 9000+ ft. If you are going higher, it is possible but let's discuss operation before you get there. The van is insulated with the highest r-value per inch insulation we could find, and we added as much as we could without compromising the space. The electric refrigerator is modest. It is an Engel SR48F-U1 fridge with a small freezer compartment inside. The camper boasts a 40 gallon fresh water tank, 5 gallon gray water tank, and utilizes a compost toilet. Compost toilets are remarkably odor free!House batteries provide interior power and are charged by 200w of solar panels on the roof and the van alternator (while driving). There are two wall outlets which have two USB and one 12V outlet in each. Two 12V plug-ins are also on the lower dashboard. AC power is provided at an outlet near the kitchen which has 2 standard three-pin sockets. Keep in mind all appliances or electronics brought on board need to be under 1500w.For showering and other wash down needs, there is a Nemo Helio Pressurized shower, 2.9gal capacity. You use your foot to pressure this shower which is very convenient and collapses well. A warm shower is achieved by adding 2 quarts of hot water via the kettle mixed with about 2 gallons of "tap water". Dr. Bronner's biodegradable soap is included. Towels are an extra fee.Drop off and pick up times are negotiable if there are no other reservation conflicts. A $40/hr late fee applies to failing to meet agreed upon times. A $40 fee is applied if the diesel tank isn't returned to it's outgoing level. This is in addition to the cost of the extra diesel.Video walk through here: https://youtu.be/OeK4RF9Q3xI

We converted a cargo van into a very comfortable camper. When we aren't living in it full-time, we like to share it with others. We have a website and Instagram account under Alaskangrownvan.com and @alaskangrownvan
