My Names Fletcher and my van " A New Hope" was a project I decided to start building this year so me and my dogs could travel and live more and work less, unfortunately I have to finish some things in Portland before the full time van transition and wanted to let others experience the feeling of freedom with my van. Ive sacrificed everything for the project and know many others are left without the options to experience the power of nature and simple living. My van is a reflection of my soul/talent it has lots of first generation west coast wood which I restored, the whole build was designed and done by myself in Mt Hood National Forest.What's includedBedding, full kitchen and utensils, full electric system, two roof fans, cooler and freezer, hot water shower and hand made rugs, folding picnic table with seating, outdoor speaker, camping chairs, stove, coffee maker. Recommendationslive and be yourself, sometimes its good to get lost!Other things to noteI have no rules and want people to be at home, treat it as it was your own!

Overall we had a great trip, but our experience with this renter and van was extremely poor. While we tried to be understanding of him losing his dog recently, pre-trip communication was meager on Fletcher's part. I reached out a few times with days waiting for a response.Once we arrived Fletcher informed us there would be two warning lights on the dash (brakes and airbag malfunction) but that he had already serviced both and they would turn off within 50 miles. Both lights stayed on for the entirety of the 6 day trip (over 1000 miles) and the airbag warning was paired with a constant beeping noise that we had to endure for the whole trip. Fletcher also had a pre-existing crack in his radio display and on our first day the screen went out all together. Fortunately we had a wireless speaker to drown out the intense noise of the van. We previously owned a skoolie and even it was not as loud as this van.Fletcher warned us to take soft left turns due to a faulty drawer that would pop open. We took his advice seriously but the drawer still came open on one bend in the road and the front of the drawer popped off the screws, breaking a small piece of plastic hardware in the process. Having installed cabinets I am well aware this fix would be no more that $20. Fletcher charged us $100 and added "cleaning fee" to this charge even though that is not included in definition of the security deposit. We returned the van in clean condition given the supplies provided.

incredible experience, Fletcher was very communicative with the pickup and the drop-off. very accommodating with our schedules, and the van itself was very comfortable. The trip couldn't have gone any better.
