->> Summer 2022 Note <<- June 12 - July 10th we’ll be working and playing out of Downtown Brevard, NC staying in an Airbnb. The Cricket is available for rent out of Downtown Brevard during that time frame! Free delivery, set-up and pickup at Davidson River Campground if you don’t want to tow. :)
Lightweight and rugged, our 2021 Taxa Cricket is the perfect blend of sophisticated design and purpose that’s towable by many four-cylinder engines - Subaru for the win! With sleeping room for two adults and two children, Taxa’s Nasa-inspired design features integrated plumbing and electrical systems, air conditioning, gas stove, sink and single-zone Dometic refrigerator/freezer making this perfect for on or off-grid camping.
The Truma propane heater/furnace keeps you (and your water) toasty warm in freezing temperatures - even with the roof popped.
Park it at a tent site! Two batteries mean you can run the ceiling fan, water pump, heater/hot water and charge USB electronics without being plugged in for a few days.
The kids berths have a max weight capacity of 130 lbs and about 5’2” length.
Stanley stainless steel sauce pans and skillet, cups, SnowPeak stainless plates and tableware for four provided.
There’s an outdoor shower for you, your pooch and your kids.
Foam mattress topper available on request.
Full 15 gallon water tank and a 30 minute walkthrough at the time of pick-up.
The Cricket weighs 1800 lbs dry, and takes a 2'' ball hitch and a 7-pin round trailer connector.
Optimal measurement from the ground to the top of the 2” ball on your tow vehicle is ≈ 20”.

Recommendations
We love state parks.
Camping at Grayson Highlands State Park in southwestern, VA and being near Mount Rodgers and the wild ponies there is breathtaking.
Hanging Rock State Park has it all: hiking, vistas, history, and mountain bike trails.
We love to canoe and camp at Merchant's Millpond State Park in eastern NC.
Our favorite quick getaway is Raven Rock State Park, less than an hour from Raleigh. Falls Lake and Jordan Lake are great last minute camping options close to the Triangle.
Check out Hipcamp.com as well. :)
One of the best uses for the Cricket is camping off grid. We love Pisgah National Forest.
Other things to note
The fridge can not get wet/sandy. Please keep it out of the rain and away from sand.
Always level the trailer with the hitch crank. The four stabilizers on the vehicle are intended to provide support for the leveled trailer.
Lock the trailer at the hitch if you're going to drive away from it.
Always lock the doors when the trailer is being towed.
No smoking.
