Trailer was not clean, air conditioner did not work, refrigerator was only cool on propane, had to run the generator all day. The brake lines were disconnected. The screen door only had screen on the top. The flooring was ripped, had to use gorilla tape to fix it. No step attached- only a baby step, unsafe.

We had a great experience with John. He was available, flexible & eager to share his knowledge about his R-Pod. John had told us that this trailer was a bit “beat up”, but he would allow our dog & it had a kitchen slide out which gave us more room, so sight unseen, we thought it was the better choice. The Pod left a lot to be desired. Cosmetics aside, there were some issues. There were no steps to use to enter. That was the biggest problem. The sleeping area was not configured for even a double bed, but with things in the trailer, we were able to solve that issue. One screen was missing on the screen door; we patched it with masking tape & Saran Wrap & got by. So John was totally honest when he said it was beat up! He even offered to exchange it for his other nicer RPod; but we stuck with our original decision. The Pod pulled easily with our Honda Passport AWD. All of the mechanical features worked well. Great little fridg, air conditioning, super good sound system. So we just had a great time for our week trip to Joshua Tree & Palm Springs. This was our first time pulling a trailer (we’ve been tent campers for 50 years). The experience was successful: we gained some hands on time working out / on all the issues one encounters when trailering — dry camping in Joshua Tree & Full hook ups in PS.
