Discover Congaree National Park RV rentals for memorable road trips

Congaree National Park lies in central South Carolina, between the towns and cities of Columbia, Orangeburg, and Sumter. The forest was declared a national park in 2003 after a long campaign to preserve one of the last old-growth bottomland hardwood forests left in the United States. This ancient forest covers an area of over 26,000 acres, creating a picturesque and lush landscape of woodland, wetland floodplains. Congaree National Park has been designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve and a wilderness area, a testament to the natural beauty and rarity of the park.

Okay, I wanted to rate this experience a 5 because of how nice William was and how great the RV appeared. This was our first time with Outdoorsy and I would suggest checking everything thoroughly before driving off. The tail lights were not working on our drive and had to pull over early from so many truckers flashing us. It was a bit scary while driving with kids. We spent a lot of time on the phone asking about getting them fixed, but didn’t get much help just that we would have to pay for a mechanic to repair them… thankfully my brother ended up fixing them before we drove home. Another bummer was the AC unit in the bedroom did not work. We thought the main AC would reach to the back but my husband woke up through out the nights very uncomfortable and had to sit outside because of how hot the bedroom would get. There were a couple other things we couldn’t get to work but it could have been us. Sadly, when reaching for the coffee pot on the top shelf, it fell out and broke. Well we got charged $50 for their pot that I found on Amazon for $20. The owner said the extra $30 is for his time… we got charged plenty of “extra fees and expenses”. Next time, we’ll do better research. My cousin showed up with the same RV for much cheaper because they went through a different company. The positives were that this RV was very clean and fully stocked. However, we found out we had to pay $100 for that “service”. Sadly, first and last time with Outdoorsy.

Kari and Bill were absolutely amazing to work with. Quick to respond to all messages. Extremely accommodating with delivery and pick up times. Their unit was absolutely Immaculate! This rig was the perfect set up for our family. We will definitely be booking this camper again. If you are looking for a positive camper rental experience, you will not be disappointed with this option.
